February 24, 2018 - 9:00am - 4:00pm
The Frontier - 800 Park Offices Dr. Durham NC 27703
Our temporary problem became your benefit! Due to a flurry of registrations over the past few days, we outgrew the planned meeting room at the Frontier. The good news is that there was a larger room available.
Once we realized we could accommodate more attendees, we said, “Why don’t we make it easier for more people to register, even at the last minute?” The best way to do that was to extend the Early Bird rate through Wednesday the 21st.
Remember that your registration fee includes lunch onsite. The parking is free and easy to access. Since the meeting is on Saturday, you won’t have to worry about rush hour traffic on I-40.
Put all of that together with an information-rich program presented by Tamsen Webster and Neen James and you have an NSA Carolinas Power Session you won’t want to miss!

SATURDAY MORNING SESSION WITH TAMSEN WEBSTER
TED talks have changed people’s expectations — not just about what makes for a great performance, but what makes a great idea. And those expectations? They’re fast becoming what clients, audiences, and meeting professionals expect from your presentations, too. The good news: while TED talks are changing the future of speaking — and fast — the principles that make great TED talks great can make your speech great, too.
SATURDAY AFTERNOON SESSION WITH NEEN JAMES
Contextual Models commercialize ideas and increase audience engagement. If you want to simplify complex messages and make your messages memorable, repeatable…and re-tweetable, this session is for you.
Create current and relevant ideas to showcase your unique intellectual property, position your expertise in every conversation, and capture attention in our crazy, busy, distracted world.
ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS
Part “idea whisperer,” part message strategist, and part presentation coach, Tamsen Webster helps people and organizations like Verizon, State Street Bank, Ericsson, Johnson & Johnson, and Disney find and communicate the power of their ideas. For four years, she was the Executive Producer of TEDxCambridge, one of the oldest and largest locally organized “TED talk” events in the world. In former lives, she worked in both agencies and at nonprofits heading up brand, marketing, and fundraising communication strategy, along with a brief but enduring turn as a change management consultant. She was a reluctant marathoner…twice; is a winning ballroom dancer (in her mind); and everything she knows about people, speaking, and change, she learned at Weight Watchers. True story.
Neen James, CSP MBA is a powerhouse, Aussie attention expert obsessed with helping leaders focus and pay attention to what matters!
Her engaging programs educate and entertain audiences with real-world strategies that apply at work and home. She’s the author of Folding Time™ and her new book Attention Pays and loves serving speakers (as a National Board member for NSA and working with speakers 1:1). Neen was also named as one of the 2017 Top 30 Global Guru Leadership speakers. Find out about Neen at www.neenjames.com or follow her on Twitter @neenjames
