TURNING LIGHTING INTO ELECTRICITY PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Your financial success as a speaker is only as strong as your ability to execute a business strategy. The problem is most speakers have a mission-driven message but don't have the building blocks of business. According to a recent Market Research blog, there are more than 40,000 professional speakers, but the overwhelming majority don't work full time. There are roughly 3500 members of the National Speakers Association and nearly 50% are not full-time speakers. The recent impact of COVID19 has devastated the meeting and event industry, thus making it more difficult for full-time speakers to grow their businesses, and some are leaving the speaking industry, actively looking for full-time jobs.

Anton Gunn knows what it's like to struggle as a part-time professional speaker and a full-time employee. Since joining NSA in 2005, Anton wanted to be full-time but didn't have the direction, dedication, or discipline to grow a successful speaking business. He could never find a way to generate enough revenue to walk away from a successful career as a c-level executive and former senior advisor to President Barack Obama. But since 2016, Anton has transformed his life and business as a speaker. In 2017, he did 112 speaking events with audience sizes ranging from 150 to 2,300 people, earning more than six-figures. Anton Gunn has learned that anyone can build an excellent speaking business by developing an action mindset and an executable game plan. He will share some of his most effective strategies for speaking business success.
