The Durham Hotel is hosting our event and is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Durham, NC. Preferred hotel rates can be reserved at The Durham Hotel until Monday, June 3, 2024. Rates increase on June 4th. What happens during the Friday evening banquet?
We start off with a Welcome Reception on the Rooftop of The Durham Hotel overlooking downtown Durham. Following the reception we enjoy a fabulous dinner, hear a fabulous keynote from Valda Ford (past NSA Carolinas President and current NSA Board member), recognize our CSP and CPAE members, honor members with chapter awards, celebrate our outgoing Board of Directors, install our NEW Board of Directors and experience an After Party back on the Rooftop. Friday evening is a special celebration you do not want to miss!

Who is our Saturday program keynote speaker?
We are thrilled to host Hall of Fame Speaker, Jim Cathcart, CSP, CPAE who is one of the top 5 most award-winning speakers in the world. His Top 1% TEDx video has over 2.6 million views and his 25 books are translated into multiple languages including 3 International bestsellers. He is past National President of the National Speakers Association, received. NSA's most cherished award (The Cavett Award), and received Toastmasters International's most prestigious award, The Golden Gavel Award.
Who is this event for? The NSA Carolinas banquet and program is for anyone serious about the business and craft of professional speaking. Even if you are just exploring the speaking profession, have recently launched into speaking or have seasoned full-time experience like many of us, everyone will find incredible value in both content and community. What all attendees will have in common is that we want to become better speakers and continually learn and share how to build our speaking businesses!
Are guests welcome? Yes! You are welcome to bring a +1 to Friday’s event (just get tickets before they sell out!), and you can bring guests to Saturday’s event as well, but note that our members receive a discount.

Are Meals Provided? Absolutely, all meals will be covered in your registration. This includes Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and Saturday lunch. You’ll experience a wide selection of cuisine representing Durham and the Carolinas! Upon registration you’ll be able to select meal options for Friday. Saturday breakfast will provide a wide buffet assortment and Saturday lunch will be a gourmet salad bar option!
